Hi all,

I have a 2GB exp dmp(.rar file) and when I unzip the file it splits into 6 dmp files each of 1.5GB size. I need to import this data into a new database and trying to find out if there is a way I can use the .rar file in the imp command
instead of unzipping all the dmp files.

Ok thanks. Is there an option I can mention all the dumps in one imp command and import all the data at once?

Not sure if the below command is right..

imp ordi/pwd@ord file=exp1.dmp,exp2.dmp,exp3.dmp log=exp.log buffer=4000000 full=y

As usually, when everything else fails, read the documentation. Pay attention to FILE export/import parameter.

Ready, Fire, AIM!
A potential problem with using IMP is/are constraint issues & the order tables get loaded (or not).
You can not load child table until after parent table is loaded.
