can anybody tell me 'will direct path load in SQL * loader generate a redo log'?

OS im using is Sun solaris 10
database version -10g.

Yes unless table has the NOLOGGING attribute.
It also depends on whether archival mode enabled or disabled. If disabled then it does not generate full image redo.
