Hi,

If I use 8i dump and import it into 9i would and if all the objects are imported properly would it run properly or should I be taking any additional steps

If you do it all right, it will just work good. Any additional steps, whatever they are depends on your schema options.

Just to remind you that the first "proper" step is to use 8i Export utility and 9i Import utility.

if you mean this one then that is exactly what I did or is there any other way to do it (except restore ofcourse)

imp userid/pwd file= fromuser= touser=....

If import operation end with the following lines then don't do anything else.

Import terminated successfully without warnings.
