Hi,

Need help using the datapump utility.
1) If the source db from where the dump file was generated is version 10.2.0.4.0 and the destination db is 10.2.0.1.0, will it matter?

2) Am trying to import data on a blank schema. Shouldnt the datapump utility generate the schema from the export file?
Currently getting errors:
ORA-31693: Table data object "USERNAME"."TABLE_NAME" failed to lo
ad/unload and is being skipped due to error:
ORA-31603: object "TABLE_NAME" of type TABLE not found in schema
"USERNAME"
Not sure if this is some access issue.
The said USERNAME has roles -
connect,resource and IMP_FULL_DATABASE

3) If I try to import on some created schema, it is trying to do in some random order so that many tables are not getting loaded that were referring to some other table not alreay loaded(FK violation)
Is not the order maintained automatically while importing so that all the referential integrities are maintained or do we need to specify the order explicity while exporting.

Appreciate any help!
Thanks.

Please read & FOLLOW the Posting Guidelines as stated in URL above

As a general rule you are precluded & prevented from exporting from a higher version & importing into a lower version.
The higher version could contain data types & objects which simply do not exist & are not supported in the lower version.
