hi
when you create a new oracle name the system often add
the word "world" after it like oraclename.world
what is the necessity of this and is meaning please ?

Actually it helps you identify the Extact
database location if you have multiple Database
setup in ur whole enterprise.

You can set your Default Domain instead of world it an xyz.com

Read Net8 Administrators Guide for more info.
