Is there any way to change default location for LISTENER.ORA parameter file.
I want to use something other than ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.
Any ideas ?
TIA

Look in the registry under the key
"HKEY_LOCAL_MASCHINE/Software/ORACLE for a Entry like "NET80".
This is a environment variable you can change.

I have not prove it, so save your Oracle_Home/Network/admin first before you change it

Hi,

Set TNS_ADMIN=<new directory> on unix.
It should work.

Yes u can change the the location of net. file by setting the TNS_ADMIN env. varible in Win NT by setting it in registry & in Solaris(unix) set it with setenv as env var.
like TNS_ADMIN=<new_path>
