enter the following command:
SVRMGR30> connect internal/oracle
Connected.
SVRMGR30> startup pfile=c:\orant\database\initORCL.ora

dbfx - extract data from dBase/Foxpro DBF files

DESCRIPTION
Dbfx is designed to directly read uncompressed dBase/FoxPro DBF database files created on a PC. It was written in order to facilitate direct import into mainframe databases such as Oracle without requiring preprocessing on a PC. On the UNIX machine the DBF files must have been imported using binary mode transfer.

i think it's possible to export data from lotus approach directly to oracle tables..using odbc
though i hv not used it personally.
we hv been using text delimited files only with sql*loader and felt it was straight forward enough. u can generate a pipe separated or fixed lenggth file easily from approach.

It was possible with Oracle 6.x, so I think it is still possible now.
There was an Oracle program for Dos-Extender that was able to create a Loader-CTL file automatically from a DBF-File.
Dontī know why Oracle did not ported this very usefull programm to Windows.
