Hello,

This is just for practice but I might be helpful.

I just did a full export of my database and I would like to know what are the actions to take in order to prepare the target database for the import. What I mean is, in the case of an import of schema, a user has to be created in the target database, and connect, and resource privileges have to be granted to that user.

What to do in case of a full database import? How to the prepare the target database?

Thanks in advance.

Just have an empty database.
You may want to precreate the tablespaces to prevent failures due to different filesystem as far as location and sizes.

This is surely not a simple work to do. I'll try that on a test database. Thanks.
