Hi

Can anyone tell me what is the time limit that an oracle can flashback tables.

if i want to flashback tables to seven days before..is it possible?
what are the parameters it depends upon?

Which kind of flashback? In other words, what do you exactly want to do or get?

According to Oracle 10g Concepts book,

Oracle Database 10g automatically tunes a parameter called the undo retention period. The undo retention period indicates the amount of time that must pass before old undo information—that is, undo information for committed transactions—can be overwritten. The database collects usage statistics and tunes the undo retention period based on these statistics and on undo tablespace size.

I have no experience in that area, but - it appears that Oracle maintains undo retention period and you can't directly set it. Though, you might modify undo tablespace size which might, in turn, implicitly affect undo retention period.

However, I'd suggest you to wait for another opinion.
