Hello ,

I'm trying to do import using datapump .
I gave user/pass parfile=abc.par

But the import hangs and nothing moves and it's been more than 3 hours that nothing moves on and I found error in the alert.log as:
The value (30) of MAXTRANS parameter ignored.
kupprdp: master process DM00 started with pid=15, OS id=428
         to execute - SYS.KUPM$MCP.MAIN('SYS_IMPORT_SCHEMA_10', 'SYSTEM', 'KUPC$C_1_20090413024450', 'KUPC$S_1_20090413024450', 0);
kupprdp: worker process DW01 started with worker id=1, pid=17, OS id=2168
         to execute - SYS.KUPW$WORKER.MAIN('SYS_IMPORT_SCHEMA_10', 'SYSTEM');

For this they gave in the Metalink doc : 455021.1 as it's a bug and can be ignored .

Not knowing what to do . Any help on this please.

Raj

Thanks.

This is NOT error message. You can ignore.

Post your import command and parfile.

Post your complete logfile.

How much volume of data (and indexes) are we talking about?
It could be just me chugging, slowly.

Below is the content of the parfile:

impdp user/pass parfile=imp.par

imp.par=LOGFILE=import_bistg.log
DIRECTORY=EXPORT_DIR
DUMPFILE=export_bistg_%U.dmp
SCHEMAS=(BIREAD,BISTG)

And attached is the content of my import log file.

The data is around 70 Gb . In the mor'g I did for one database and it took 2 hours and completed . But this database on the same server I started at 2.45 EST and now it is 8.00 EST and still it hangs .

The data has been imported but it hangs at

. . imported "BIREAD"."QUEST_SX_PLAN1"                       0 KB       0 rows
. . imported "BISTG"."INVOICE"                               0 KB       0 rows
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/GRANT/OWNER_GRANT/OBJECT_GRANT
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/INDEX/INDEX

Help on this will be thankful a lot
