Hi, can I use user-defined functions in my sql*loader control file and load in DIRECT path mode?

Yes but it is not here to make your work and prevent from doing any effort like reading the documentation or makinh a small test.

In addition, if I answer "yes", what do you do? Making in production something you did not test yourself? And if I answer "no", will you not test anyway to see if I am not wrong?

Furthermore, if Michel answered "Yes, it is possible" and someone else (for example, me) answered "No, it is not possible", who would you believe? Michel or me? Or would you rather test it yourself?
