Hello,

We're planning upgrade of Oracle RDBMS 9i R2 to Oracle RDBMS 11g.

From the beginning of using Oracle RDBMS we practiced to install and use Shared Server Architecture connection. This concept gave us a lot of headaches. Now we're considering dedicated architecture with new server which suppose to have enough physical memory. My question is: How to plan/calculate needed memory for given number of users? What other entry parameters we should consider for estimation of SGA and PGA memory?

Thank you in advance for help,
