I have been told client is not getting to the listener because listener is only listening on 127.0.0.1

unless & until DB server is configured with a routable IP#, no remote client will succeed.

How do I do this though?? .. .im pretty new to all this.... can someone please help me?

>(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = localhost)(PORT = 1521))
It is doing what it is configured to do.
If you want it to listen on a different hostname or port#, then change listener.ora

Hi, dsub42. I could give you the answer! But do you think you could feedback on your Flash Cache question first? If it is now working, how is it performing?
[edit - changed to "flash cache"]
