We have created two database instance (Oracle10.2.0.3) in solaris machine.

Why when tried to start the listener2 its shows:

TNS-01106: Listener using listener name LISTENER has already been started

To start listener2, you must run

lsnrctl start listener2

But why have two listeners? One is enough.
