The section in the docs on removing a node from a cluster,

includes this sentence

I am told by a colleague that this means that if you simply switch off a node for a certain period of time (a day? A week? A year?) it will be automatically removed from the Cluster. I can't find any more information about this, can anyone confirm or deny? I find it a bit worrying.
