Guys,

How to know whether OS is clustered or not. I don't have root privilege.

I would like to know for Linux,Solaris and HP-UX.

A very odd question. Why are you asking?
The answer will depend on what clusterware (if any) is installed. You could ask your sys admin.

Why I am asking ? Because, I don't want to bug my SYS ADMIN.

I googled and found that in Solaris, if there is a /global folder that means ... there is cluster setup.

But for Linux - you have to query the clustering package - which need root access.

I am just a oracle user Smile So if guys knows shortcuts pls share.

Well. Since there are multiple possible clustering solutions, which might even be installed but not actually used, the ONLY way to be sure is to ask the sysadmin.

The only other way would be to try to crash the server and see if another server takes over automatically. Razz
