Hello Experts,

Could you pleae provide me any oracle support documentation to suggest my vendor about the filesystem that need to be used or created for
/DATA
/CONTROLFILES
/UNDO
/TEMP
/APPS instead of using these locations, vendor is suggesting to use $ORACLE_BASE/(DATABASE_NAME)/ for all the files..

If there is any document that could expains him, how oracle recommends to use filesystem..

Thanks in advance..

when you have only 1 filesystem, the choice is simple to just use it.

Here is a link to the 12c Optimal Flexible Architecture. https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/LADBI/appendix_ofa.htm#LADBI7905

That doc describes what I think you are looking for.

Cheers,

I always use ORacle Managed Files,
http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/ADMIN/omf.htm#ADMIN003
just one parameter, and let Uncle Oracle get on with it.
