Your host string looking at your tnsnames is VUPPALA.MURALI.

Also check your sqlnet.ora file and ensure that the domain is also set to Murali and not world which is default.

If you want you can take out the .murali bit from the tnsnames and ensure that the domain in sqlnet.ora is blank.
