This is not a oracle parameter. This should be added in windows registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ORACLE

This need to be added on both home0 and all_homes.

Dear Pierre-Yves Lozachmeur !!!

COmment Alez Vous ? That's about I know of French. In order to set USE_SHARED_SOCKET what you do is

1. Go to Start button of Windows
2. Click RUN
3. Type regedt32 (very important), don't type regedit

You will get the Registry Editor... with a bunch of screens on it. Select the HKEY_CURRENT_USER ON LOCAL MACHINE screen

4. Click on software
5. Click on oracle

Then, from the top popup menu

6. select edit
7. select 'Add Value'
8. It will prompt you to type a Value Name and select a data type below that.
9. type USE_SHARED_SOCKET
10. select REG_SZ from the five options.

You should be a happy after this.

Cheers !!!
