Hi,

I can connect to database using the IP address when it is on network. But if I disconnect the system and make it stand alone it does not work. I thought, since the DB in installed on the same system the netbios should give the self IP address. Since it does not work with IP address I changed to host name but I am getting ORA-12154 which is TNS could not resolve service name.

I am working with Ora 8i and net easy configuration and using TCP protocol.

Please suggest solution for connecting using TNS on a standalone system without network.

thanks in advance.
Ravi
