I'm trying to reduce the amount of space required to connect to an Oracle 9i DB in a c/s architecture. I'm loading the Oracle client sw on my client, using the custom install, with everything removed except Oracle Net Services and it's taking 290MB! Is there any way this can be reduced, to say 50MB? I have a Net8 client on my PC that only takes up about 24MB. What's the deal with Oracle 9i? Is there a Net9 client that I can use? Where can I find it?

Thanks,
Chris

depends..
you can go with minimum installation
( no pre-compilers etc...)
go for a custom installl.
as u can do a selective install.
