I have an Oracle EE database 8i on Sun Solaris and the app. developers are doing development on Linux and need to get to the database on the Sun box. Anybody know how I can get a hold of the Net8 Client install software for Linux? Tried OTN and got nowhere.
Has anyone done this and will it work okay?

I beleive, there is no client installation for linux ( atleast from the OTN free site).
down load the server, install only binary and create no database.
