Hello friends,

I am trying to install Oracle 8 on my Win XP. But I get the error saying "unable to delete the SQL*NET V2 Listener", and the setup aborts. I have read about the problem on the internet and a few were able to resolve the problem by running some SPyware softwares. But It dint work for me. I know there are a lot of gurus out there who will help me out.

Waiting for u 2 help me. :))

Regards

Sameer.

I too face the same problem.
U should have noted than oracle 8 was designed for win 95
u will note this when u run oracle 8 for the first time.
I tried to install oracle 8 on win xp proff and home edition but it crashed the system in many cases.
so if you want to use ora 8 better goto win 98sec edition
or switch to higer ver of windows
