Hi

I s there a tool/method to find the oracle servers and itīs databases on a network? In MSsql some applications suggest the avialable SQLservers. is it posible with Oracle?

well, the names need to be registered somewhere. Oracle can use the combination of tnsnames.ora, hosts file, Oracle Names server (old now) and I think LDAP servers too. The tnsnames.ora and hosts file could be on client desktop or server machines.
