Hi

Does anybody know how I can export oracle data from oracle database to an excel worksheet. I need to provide a direct interface for a user where they just click a button and they fetch data from oracle to excel.

I try sql*xl but it doesn't seem to work with my excell version (95... yes i know... not the last youth...)

you can run a query directly from Excel (Data > Get external data > etc using an ODBC connection). Obviously you can link this to a makro and a button.
You can generate output from Oracle too in a formatted way to a flat file which can be loaded into Excel. .csv is the earies, but the below link shows the way to include formatting too.

Why is it that people think that reporting their own messages (in contravention of the forum guidelines) will result in a quicker answer?

Do not report your own messages in an attempt to get preferential treatment - it never works.
