Hi,
ON UNIX Machine for Oracle 8.1.7.4 I am running Import process of database.
I am getting the dump file in the form .dmp.Z file.
As a first step I am uncompressing the zip dump file and then
starting the import process using par file.
imp userId/password parfile=parfile
I am getting following error.
--------------------------------------------
IMP-00058: ORACLE error 12547 encountered
ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully
----------------------------------------------
Please help me in figuring out what is the reason of the error.
