we are running oracle 9.2.0 on linux
when i tried to start oracle it said
unable to write to audit file and i found system ts was full.
i deleted one trace file which was very old(2002) from the audit directory by an os command.
i started the db
i added a datafile for system ts in ora_data
it works fine now.
Is this procedure correct or is there a better approach to fix the problem
thanx
karthik

Please Look into $ORACLE_BASE/admin/sid/dbdump/alert_sid.log.
Look for relevant errors.
