hi all

plz help me

we have a oracle 9i on windows 2000 it is a cluster setup not a RAC.. we have 2 server and a common storage

now if i want to create new database whate are the steps...


actually i have created db on server 1 but i dont know how to add this db in server 2

dbf files, ctl files, redolog files and archive log files are stored on common storage and only pfile is stored on each server....

You mean, mounting the same database as another instance (INST2) in server 2?
Not possible.
That is what RAC does.
