Hi ,

I have a single pc with 1gb ram, and P4, 1 GHZ machine, with 50 gb hard disk...my question is , can I set up the oracle real appliction cluster on this single pc? - i do not have another such machine, so for practice is it possible to use just one computer and implement rac?

appreciate your help..

Nirav

But Mahesh, using VMWARE, were you able to install Shared Storage for RAC storage??

If yes, you installed it in Linux environment ?

I am very keen to know this as I want to install RAC on a Linux environment using vmware.

I have used vmware and have created multiple disks to implement ASM and other stuff in Linux.

Only the missing part that I want to know is even if we create multiple disks in one node, how can we make it as a shared storage and how to make it available in a second RAC node,
so that the second RAC instance can access the database files stored in the shared disks?

If you can give me some links or documents, that would be great...

Best Rgds,
Anurag
