Oracle 10g HP-UX (ver 11.23)
Two servers work on StandBy mode. One of them main, another as reserve.
In very transactionable days, the tnslistner on the main server doesn't answer, but OS HP-UX works.

Please. help.
/* May be we configured the standby mode not correctly. Or applications use wrong commands like 'truncate' in standby mode? */

What error message you get which confirms that listener on the main server does not work?

In standby mode, you can not run Truncate commands.

Database is either in manual recovery mode or in Read only mode and not available for transactions.
