Hi,

I have installed Oracle 10gR2 database server recently in the Windows box. The database works fine. But I am unable to connect through the Internet Explorer. I found that the service for the isqlplus is not available. Do I need to run any script for creating the service?

Yes you have to start the apache as well

%ORACLE_HOME%\Apache\Apache\apache start
then in the browser type
http://[machine_name][:port]/isqlplus

Lot more info

Hi,
found that the service for the isqlplus is not available.

First check ISQLPLUS services is start.
On command prompt
C:\>net start
These Windows services are started:

<output cut>
   OracleCSService
   OracleDBConsoleorcl
[B] OracleOraDb10g_home1iSQL*Plus[/B] OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener
   OracleServiceORCL

If ISQLPLUS service is not listed then you have to start manually >>> go start ---> run ---> services.msc <<hit enter>>

after that check portlist.ini file for isqlplus URL.
located >>>$ORACLE_HOME/db_1/install
example
iSQL*Plus HTTP port number =5560

then give COMPLETE URL for isqlplus
http://alwarid-taj.fakhruddin.local:5560/isqlplus
http://[hostname].[domainname]:[port]/isqlplus

regards
Taj

Hi,

My problem is that there is no service for isqlplus in the services.msc. I am able to see only the below mentioned services for the Oracle.

OracleDBConsoleABC
OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener
OracleServiceABC

Shortly: do not use it. Switch to SQL*Plus.
