Hi All,

Can I run EXPORT utility from within a stored procedure? If it is possible, can you please illustrate with an example.
The intention is to run this procedure periodically.

I am using Oracle 9.2.0.6

Please help!!

Thanks

There is no API for export as there is one for Data Pump but you can execute an OS command from PL/SQL.
Have a look at thread "Java procedure for host calls on Unix environment" on AskTom.

Thanks Michael. Any clue if EXPORT can be run from a normal PL/SQL Block instead of Java Procedures?

Hi,
How about making a script and schedule it in OS scheduler?

Wrap the Java procedure inside a PL/SQL procedure.
Read the article this is how it is used.
