Hi,

Here is small newbie question about transfering data between two servers (or between to pc which have installed oracle).

I have installed Oracle 10g on my server which is main server in company where I develop IS. So I don't like to test my app on real data because I have somethime some bug and that will be corrupt data which is allredy in database, and I would like, if it is possible to copy tablespaces and logfiles into my develop PC with same Oracle installation like server.

Is this scenario possible and what files are needed for this operation?

A rather seamless way to perform this would also be to utilize RMAN's DUPLICATE feature.
