Hi all

We have encountered the follwing error when doing an Export from Oracle 9i . Can any body tell us why the following error is coming and how it can be rectified
Connected to: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.7.0 - Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Oracle Data Mining options
JServer Release 9.2.0.7.0 - Production
Export done in WE8MSWIN1252 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set

About to export specified users ...
. exporting pre-schema procedural objects and actions
. exporting foreign function library names for user UATPREMIA
. exporting PUBLIC type synonyms
. exporting private type synonyms
. exporting object type definitions for user UATPREMIA
EXP-00008: ORACLE error 942 encountered
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
EXP-00024: Export views not installed, please notify your DBA
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

Do you have permission to export table/views?

Probably not.

So export as a user who have permission on that table/view.

Avoid duplicate entry. What is your export command?

This one is already posted by you in server utilities section.

The table was created in the same db user id .so it will have the rights on its tables right .is there any other cause of this issue

You raised this . According to you Oracle have made the wrong.
Note that if you create synonym but the table in other schema then you must have exp_full_database privilege before exporting objects in other schema.
