I have attended many Oracle PL/SQL interviews but i am not able to give a correct answer for the question

" How you do preformance tuning in your work "

It would be highly appreciated if you could help me with this
question

Well... these 2 items...

SQL queries;
PL/SQL;

...are distinct.

One should take attention about "context switch" in PL/SQL.

Group functions in SQL query
Explain plan
Table scaning
optimisation

etc,

Hello psiva_oracle,

I will try to help you in my best way. Please it does not intend to sound negative.

1) Please... follow anacedent advice. She is not kidding!
2) Can you read and understand one chapter per month? (per each 30 days) Then... if the "Performance Tuning Guide" has 12 chapter... in one year would will know all the issues... from official free oracle documentation.
One year is fast. "Yesterday" I was 18...

This is my thought and I use this in my life.

You will realize that "B19306-01" gives you the whole 10gR2 documentation on your computer (450MB download).
