Hi All,

I want to know if it is possible to make database inaccessible to anyone, except if the person has the appropriate username and password in the database

I asked this because I found out that if a user belongs the sysadmin group and dba group on UNIX box, using connect internal will take the fellow direct into the database without asking anything.

Is it possible to stop this? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Sulaiman.

It's like to say : It's possible to prevent root to become another user ??? The answer is NO !
If you are in the DBA group you can always use connect internal without a password...
